About the author:
I grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut. A lively college town situated on the beach about an hour north from New York City. Living in the suburbs of two major cities, as well as between the Long Island Sound, miles of farmland, and the mountains, I enjoyed from a young age getting to explore different cities and types of nature.
I attended Penn State University from 2019 until 2023 where I received a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. A class project I had my junior year inspired me to start my own business, which is what I am doing part time now while abroad. I made it a goal to stay involved during my four years at Penn State, especially with COVID happening my freshman year making that difficult.
A few of my friends got to study abroad, but I didn’t have the time in my schedule to do so without graduating late. I applied to a program called NALCAP during February of my senior year, which is through the Spanish Government. It places native English speakers in the public schools all across Spain to assist in the English classes. I got placed in Ibiza, which was my top choice, so I was thrilled.
Life has taken many twists and turns, from living abroad, to working at a hedge fund in NYC, to now working for myself doing photography and social media management! I’m excited to explore navigating my 20s with you.
